Two weeks ago, the Sustainable Endowments Institute celebrated their 10th anniversary. Sure, the college divest movement and green revolving loan funds are now normal topics of conversation for climate activists, but 10 years ago, this was not the case. Thanks to the incredible achievements of SEI, students are now more engaged than ever before with the use of their college endowments and businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations can easily set up revolving loan fund tracking through SEI's grits program.
Of course, I am a little biased, since back in 2009 (how is that 6 years ago already?!) I participated in a research fellowship at SEI. It was a wonderful experience and really solidified my interest in using personal action to achieve big results on behalf of the environment.
Three cheers for SEI!
Oh, and meeting Adam Gardner from Guster and David Brancaccio of Marketplace Morning Report at the SEI Anniversary Party was pretty awesome too.
