Our founder and former editor, Cameron Bruns, has moved to Ireland to pursue new and exciting adventures. I am excited to be taking over as Editor In Chief. I hail from Wilmore, Kentucky and have lived in the greater Boston area for three years. Growing up in rural Kentucky I learned to live off of the land- growing and raising our own foods, composting, and preserving. I moved to Boston in 2015 for an internship with Haley House’s Thornton Farm. I am currently a senior at the University of Massachusetts Boston and am pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability. I am passionate about how human rights and sustainable intersect. I work part-time doing residential compost pickups around Boston. I enjoy gardening, cooking vegan meals, playing video games, and hanging out with my beagle, Teddy.
We are working with our website manager, Amanda Shea on rebranding which will bring more diverse voices to the blog, talk about the intersectionality of environmentalism and sustainability, showcase local businesses that are creating a more sustainable future, and challenge green ideas.
We also want to create a community online and offline, we now have a Private Facebook Group, and are looking to host in-person meet-ups in the near future. In the next month, we are launching a new column called “Ask an Environmentalist”, a monthly column in which readers can email questions about all things green!
If you have ideas or topics you would like us to cover; we are always open to suggestions. Feel free to send us an email to email@example.com.
